Since the sale of his funeral home, Mr. Deighton has worked mainly as a consultant in several areas. He formed Deighton Capital Management, a Registered Investment Advisory service that specialized in financial planning for individuals and small businesses. He later accepted a position as a financial advisor with the world’s largest asset manager, furthering his knowledge of the financial markets and investment banking. While there he obtained his NASD Series 7, 63, and 65 as well as his Real Estate Salesperson License in the State of Michigan. 

Many of his business clients were near retirement age, and would often ask his advice on selling their business, since they knew he had already gone through the process.  Due to a lack of professional business brokers in the small to mid-market area, he decided to form Mainstreet Business Brokers, LLC to provide the same level of service to “Main Street Businesses” that Wall Street investment bankers brought to large companies. This philosophy has proven successful, and he continues in this role today.

Most recently Mr. Deighton was the Regional Sales Manager for Brooke Funeral Services in Overland Park, KS. In this role he provided funeral home brokerage services through out the United States. He was responsible for the entire process, from initial inquiry to closing. Through a sister company, Brooke Credit, he also provided financing to the buyers of funeral homes.

Mr. Deighton currently resides in Linden, MI. with his wife and 2 sons.
